ABOUT SAUNDERS APARTMENTS, INC. (SAI)

A pre-war Cooperative, consisting of two buildings, located in the heart of Rego Park, in the borough of Queens.  The buildings were erected in 1942.  Each building has a red brick exterior with elevators and consists of 6-floors with a total of 176 apartments, including 3 commercial units.

On March 14, 1985, Saunders Associates acquired two rental buildings known as 63-89 and 63-109 Saunders Street, Rego Park, NY.  The buildings were then converted to a cooperative housing corporation on August 7, 1986, and renamed Saunders Apartments, Inc. (SAI).   Presently, the Co-op is comprised of 92% shareholder ownership and 8% Sponsor rentals.

Saunders Associates managed the Co-op through its affiliate company, Vision Enterprises Management LLC from August 1986 through February 1, 2020, the date of their resignation as managing company.  A replacement management company was sought, and  Majestic Property Management Corp was awarded the SAI account from February 1, 2020 to present.  

There is a live-in super and two additional building staff members.  Amenities include a state of the art laundry room,  storage lockers, bicycle racks and a community room. Limited parking spots are available at the back of the buildings.  This is a no pets and no smoking cooperative.

Rego Park is bordered to the north by Elmhurst and Corona, to the east and south by Forest Hills,, and to the west by Middle Village. Rego Park's boundaries include Queens Boulevard, the Long Island Expressway, Woodhaven Boulevard, and Yellowstone Boulevard. The neighborhood features high-rise apartment buildings and detached houses.

The surrounding neighborhood offers many small shops, the Rego Center Mall, a library, restaurants and several houses of worships.  Nearby public transportation includes the M & R trains at 63rd Drive.  Two subway stops will take you to the express F, E and Flushing line #7.  Available busses are the Q10, Q11 and Q40.
